I really need to start doing these reviews right away because otherwise I forget what I thought. Mario Lopez is cute in "person" and he was pretty good, though I wish we hadn't gone on his opening night. I have a feeling he's going to get better as he gets more comfortable in the role. I thought parts of the story in the middle took me out of the play, but all in all it was good.
One thing that really stuck out to me about the show was that it was basically "junk on parade." I mean, boys in leotards are kind of disturbing.
Also, I'm waiting for Jason to give me a quote to add to this review!
UPDATE: Here's the quote from Jason - "Seeing Glenda on stage in her bubble, Tracy Turnblad rockin' out in Baltimore and Roxie Hart's Razzle Dazzle was great. Notice I remember these shows more than A Chorus Line. Mario who?"
